De Visser

The final volume of the Hollander series, published in Dutch in April 2026. The German edition, Der Fischer, will appear in spring 2027.

When Liewe Cupido returns to his parental home on Texel after his mother's funeral, he finds the house has been broken into. Someone, it appears, has tried and failed to steal the logbook of his father's final, fatal voyage. Liewe, who never knew his mother had kept the logbooks, comes face to face for the first time with the exact record of that last voyage. His picture of the accident falls apart. He starts to investigate, but the closer he gets to the truth of what happened, the more he realises he is waking sleeping demons. And when he notices that, for the first time in his life, he himself is being hunted, the question arises whether he would have done better to leave the family secrets undisturbed.
